I couldn't believe it when I got off the bus. What had happened is that a woman in a car ran the stop sign when a van was turning into the street. She ploud right into our fence and also took the street light out. She must had some gas leak because they poured sand. DH was already at the cottage and DD was at her friends for a sleep over.

This is what I saw when I got off the bus yesterday.
What a nice welcome home Donna. I sure hope AutoPac will pay for your fence.
That's what we're planning to do is go thru Autopac for the fence.
I haven't bother yet to go and check. Everything behind the fence are perennials, so I think it will be okay.
Kind of a drastic way to get a new fence. :-( Glad you perennials are OK.

Thanks, Ann.
OUCH!!!
Donna do you have access to a large veggie patch? I've got a lot of varieties of unusual pumpkin seeds on order that should be arriving very soon.
Looks like you will have some work ahead of you to repair that. So glad noone was walking along there at the time. Too bad you couldn't plant something on the boulevard but then again that probably wouldn't stop a car. Good luck with the repair.

Goodness gracious! Thank goodness for nice neighbours, eh? While I'm glad that no one was injured, I think I would still be angry enough to chew steel and spit nails :-) Some people just shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle.

How awfull!
Make sure you keep any insurance claim open till spring cause the gas will kill everything it touched!
Hope your prenials weren't touched. The grass can be replaced by sod if the soil is changed and not drenched. Anyway I'm not an expert and maybe someone else has the exact facts.
Isn't it nice to have good neighbors!
Ann
