I still have a few more plants to clear out of here. Anyone wanna trade for any of these? NONE FOR POSTAGE.
Madeira Vine - Anredera cordifolia - a unique vine with a strange knobby tuber, very drought tolerant. In tropical climates, it can be invasive, so you don't want to grow this in the ground. In zones 7a and lower, it would be a tropical plant, bring it in for the winter. It is great mixed in with succulents and cacti.
Variegated yucca bulbs - beautiful green and yellow foliage and not prickly like other yuccas
2 sm Ponytail Palms. Caudex or bulb is about one inch on each one.
Peacock Ginger - Possibly Kaempferia Roscoeana (photo below)
Coleus Cuttings - from Kiwi Fern ([HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com])
from Tilt a Whirl ([HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com])
from a rose and burgundy colored one
Perilla Magilla Cuttings ([HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com])
Father in Law Tongue (dwarf Sanseveria)
Old Man cactus
Totem Pole Cactus
Small gasteria
Small Haworthias
2 kinds of Mother of Millions (one with flat leaves and one with tubular leaves)
Other succulents
4 Mexican Heathers (cuphea something) ([HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com])
PLANTS HARDY IN ZONE 7:
Musa Basjoo - Basjoo banana pup
Elephant Ear - Wentii - small pup ([HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com])
Elephant Ear - Black Magic pup
Elephant Ear - Illustris (Imperial Taro) pup
Canna (rhizomes. The foliage will be trimmed off for shipping, each rhizome will have two or more eyes)
Tropical Sunrise
Robert Kemp
Coral colored tiki torch blooms (Like Robert Kemp but Coral instead of Red)
Richard Wallace
Omega
Clerodendron Bungeii - small rooted plant
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What I would like to trade for is listed below. I need good healthy rooted plants, nothing that has to be babied. No cuttings, plugs, or seedlings please. They'll just die on me.
Unusual hardy grasses. Would love pink pampas grass especially, black mondo, and any other uncommon grasses
Unusual elephant ears, like Black Velvet, Xanthasoma Variegata, Mickey Mouse, etc.
Windmill Palm
Japanese Irises - named please
Louisiana Irises - named please
Variegated Costus - spiral ginger
Midnight Ginger
Hardy Hedychiums (I have the white and some peach ones. Would like pink if there are any)
Pulmonarias
I would consider other unusual perennials as well as succulents. I love unusual sanseverias, sempervirens and euphorbias. But I don't like thorns. I know some of the euphorbias have thorns but they're not to hard to handle like some cacti are. I will take nice sized cuttings of succulents as I know how easy they are to root.
Anyone wanna trade? So be sure to check it too to see if you need anything there.
CLOSED: HAVE TO TRADE: Unusual Plants for other Unusual Plants
What is the name of the one in the picture?
I have windmill palm seedlings w/ 2-3 leaves. If you like, I can wait until spring to ship when they'll be more robust. I am interested in the variegated yuccas. Do you know what species they are?
The plant in the picture is a peacock ginger (kaempferia). I have determined its exact name yet. It maybe a K. Roscoeana. It has large, fat, and bold leaves.
Green, I think my yucca is Color Guard, with yellow and green striped foliage.
Thanks for your interest.
I'm interested in your peacock ginger if still available, and a Madeira Vine tuber, for old time's sake.
I had traded a lot of these over on GW back in 99-2000 and have since lost my plant.
I have a funky-cool crested Euphorbia you may be interested in, (to trade for the P. Ginger) and some other succulents (would have to get a list when I get home tonight...would get the list to you tomorrow morning.)
I could send photos, if you like.
Hi Nan,
I would love to see the crested euphorbia and other succulents. I do still have some of the peacock ginger left as well as some of the madeira vine tubers. Let's see what we can work out. Thank you for contacting me.
Hi!
OK...will get photos of some of them tonight and d-mail them to you sometime tomorrow....sound good?
Thanks for responding!
