I stumbled in

Prattville, AL(Zone 8a)

I found this site accidently the other nite. Lurked around a bit, noticed how friendly everyone was so I joined. I live in Alabama have 4 kids and love to garden. DH and I have 1 1/2 acre lot in the city limits. One day I would like to have it all garden. He likes to cut grass so the front yard is off limits to me but when he is not looking I start a new flower bed. If I can ever talk him into helping me irradicate the ivy that is taking over the very back part of our yard, I am going to terrace off the hill and garden till my hearts content. (If that's possible)
Nice meeting everyone and look foward to posting and chatting.

ooooooh you're sooooooo lucky having such a big garden! I have a small greenhouse and a handkerchief equivalent here in south england.

It's great to see such warmth and interest in gardening, isn't it?

Hey, fellow southerner. I live in Montgomery and "stumbled" into this site as well. If you ever want to share info, seeds, plants or ideas, just let me know. I have two kiddos and DH is stationed at Gunter AFB. I'm having a delightful time gardening here in the south. It's like living in a greenhouse. Everything grows beautifully.

Have a great day!

Hello from SD. I love to garden and I am happy to have been told about this site by a nice lady I meet thru another site.
We don't have a huge yard but it sure seems like it when I am weeding. We are digging up a little more of it for another garden area this fall. hopefully when we try and kill the grass and weeds in that area it will work the first time. Any suggestions on what works the best to kill the grass and weeds for a new garden area?

I am sure I am going to love it here!

Welcome herbin and bearly 48,from the Sunflower State'No herbin it means Dear Hubby' See Ya,Sis'
