bay leaf

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 8a)

I found a little bay leaf looking plant in my daughters rock desert soil. I can find the name nor a picture. It smells wonderful and is a tiny bush.
Thanks, Somer~

Hi Somer ~ This link is the one commonly used for cooking ~ http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/814/index.html.

There is one that grows freely and some use it for cooking, I apologize for not being sure but think this is the other common one ~ http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/54075/index.html.

If you search the plant files using Bay for the common name it should pull up a variety... Best wishes in IDing it... I love the fragrance and grow the first one in a pot. It is more climate sensitive. pod
