One of These Days...

I'm going to make a moss pole for this sweetie to climb. For right now, nails in the walls will have to do for support!!!

Be careful letting it grow up a wall indoors. Not sure how it compares to pothos but....

I had a pothos that I allowed to grow next to the foyer wall. It really was thriving but then we decided to paint several months later. The darn thing had attached too well (below the paint) to the sheet rock so we ended up scraping the wall and patching before we could paint. What a mistake!

:) Thank you guys for your compliments. I wish I could grow ALL my plants this well!!!! She's one of the easiest plants I have, EXCEPT, in the winter. She will throw a fit if not given proper humidity. I do mean major attitude!

SNBoyken-:) I really don't do much at all. It's about 2-3 feet from a west facing window, grows in C&S soil in a clay pot, which is placed inside a ceramic pot filled with moist pebbles. Feeding has been haphazard at best. It's not a heavy feeder by any means. I misted with Eleanor's throughout the summer, but it was already this height before I began using Eleanor's!

Garden6- LOL, you are so funny! Will you promise to send it back with the pole or will you just send that pole I'm looking for? LOL

Butch- Ruh-Roh! Do you think it will try to attach during the winter months? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it won't do much "reaching out to touch" during the next few months. I'll definately keep a close eye on it. OMG- just thinking about what you had to go through to remove the pothos from the wall!

LOL!
That reminds me of a Pothos I had growing in a house we'd rented for a few years....my Pothos was really happy growing above the kitchen sink.....I mean *really* happy, and I'd even wondered why it was so happy that it's*existing* leaves had started growing larger.....when it was time to move, I figured out why.

The plant's aerial roots had literally 'stuck' into the thick coating of paint on the metal cabinet that it was growing near!!!
I had to pull like heck to get it down!
Also had to go buy a can of paint!

Growhappy, OF COURSE I WILL!... I will send you weekly pics of your baby growing on that special built pole! ;0)

Grow,do you really have nails in your walls?
What we won't do for our plants :)
How old is your PP?
Thanks for the tip about the pot in a pot of wet pebbles,I'm going to have to do this.

CC- I really do have nails in the wall! This plant will be 2 years old in February(?).

I've come to the conclusion that Pothos are really secret plant monsters. LOL

It luvs yah, baby! Beautiful colors on the leaves. I need to leave mine alone for awhile so it can recuperate from all the cuttings I was taking this year. But it is true about philos attaching themselves to walls. That's what my Brazilian one did. I've had to scrap it off the wall.

Beautiful!!!

Waldorf, MD

Hello everone!! I am new to Dave's garden and actually, this is my first time posting a reply to anything. This is a very beautiful plant. I would love to have a piece. I have about 30 different species of plant (which I am starting to realize after strolling through Dave's garden, isn't very many) and would be more than willing to swap for a piece of this beautiful plant. I dont want to list everything that I have but if anyone would like to try and swap, just let me know what you're looking for and if I have it and it can be propagated, or cut or what have you, than we can maybe trade.

Welcome Loctress, glad you found the best garden in the world! ;0)
