One of my unknowns is opening up today. It is a real beauty. I'll post another shot when it is fully open. It looks like it likes to have six-petalled flowers!
A Real Beauty
That's right Clare, make us newbies who are just rooting their first plumies jealous.... LOL!
It is gorgeous, does it smell as beautiful as it looks?
Ah, I forgot to include the fragrance. My bad! Yes, it smells wonderful but hard to liken to another flower.
Well, the cultivar 'Candy Stripe' is famous for producing six-petalled flowers, and it could very well be that it is a decendent of 'Candy Stripe,' or maybe it just hasn't faded into that 'Candy Stripe' look yet, but in any case, it will remain an 'Unknown Cultivar' for integrity's sake. I really like it a lot though!
Inspiring Clare!!
Im always so glad to see seedling blooms
Im waiting on so many more myself.
Such rich colors, Clare...I love it!!
Thanks, Chantell and Michael!
Michael, this is an unknown of mine, not a seedling. If I'm not mistaken, it is one of Aloha Palms cuttings with no tag. It is looking more and more like the cultivar 'Candy Stripe.'
By the way, guys, my computer's hard drive crashed last night, and I'm on my DH's computer for just a minute. I'm bringing my computer to the shop today, and hopefully, they can fix the problem and/or recover the data from my hard drive. Hopefully, I'll be back soon.
Hey Clare~
I am jealous.
I have been away from mine for five months. Hope there's more than just drying leaves when I get back home this Sunday.
Be well
My dear friend, Brad. It is so nice to hear from you again. I was just wondering where you were as I posted a picture of my lovely TW on my picture thread. I knew you would be going home around this time of year. I think Florida has been having so much rain this year, but I think you will find lots of blooms still on your trees. I promised you a heavenly smelling plumie, and I intend to make good on that promise so I need your address when you get a chance:-)
I'm using DH's computer now and will check back when I can.
This has to be 'Candy Stripe,' I think. Three six-petalled flowers so far!
Clare that is not a unknown it belongs to me!!
Can you please send it back much thanks sign lopaka..
:)
LOL, Robert! That's a good one:-)
