Good Morning all. We have just about finished the plant room/study project we began two months ago. Still just have a little painting to do(trim around the windows)
Bill did all the work. We put up honey oak paneling on the walls to cover up the crappy old wall paper that required sand blasting to remove so we didn't -- just covered it up. He ran electric lines through the ceiling and installed a fan for ventilation. The plant stand holds all my babies and transplants. The smaller stand is now in the living room to add cheer with the blooming violets and strep.
I just finished cleaning up the mess and moving back in this morning. What do you think?
Plant Room Project
Sing to them, too. Sorry Bill is not for rent. I have a to-do list that will keep him busy for the next 20 years.
It looks wonderful! Congratulations :-)
Wow! I am green w/ envy! I don't know what I would have to do to get my DH to do something like that...can't think of anything that would get him away from football, basketball, etc. You are one lucky lady and your plants are lucky too!
Oh wow nanna!! Lucky you to have a hubby that does such a great job. So very well done! Everything looks perfect....
Lots of work but the two of you should be so proud.
Congratulations Super Duper Nanna ! Wonderful Love it you and Hubby are so talented !
Thanks all. Bill doesn't like football at all. He love handiman stuff. (When he has the time to do it) Right now he is taking a welding class. Hopefully as a class project he will make me a multi-hooked plant hanger. Something like a coat rack but for hanging plants in our new study/plant room.
Nice ! Can't wait to see it !
Oh, I love the honey oak paneling! The white trim looks so fresh and crisp against it -- great choices!
Last winter, my new AV stand moved into my "craft & sewing room" where it has to contend with a great deal of, well, perhaps "clutter" is a polite term. I like your "clean slate" approach better! :-)
The only problem with the "clean slate" is once it starts it takes for every to finish. When one rooms is "straight" the others call out for help. Oh my!
Classy look, very nice.
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Beautiful job!! Thank you for sharing ;0)
I meant to ask about the tub underneath the plant stand.... are you setting up a bubbler for rooting cuttings there? I've been reading about that over in the propagation forum (especially successful way of rooting in water), and I want to try it!
Sorry. Nothing so exciting. It is just packaged soil and pots and stuff. If you try it let us know how it works.
WOW nanna, everything looks so bright and cheery.....You guys did a great job!!! Lauri
Welding! Now you will have a source for artsy, trendy and so expensive garden sculptures! Some girls really know how to pick 'em!
Nanna,
Your plant room looks totally awsome. Everything looks so wonderful, so neat and organized. Great job.
Jesse
Thanks, again. It is so peaceful in that room. . . I get to spend some time there tomorrow potting up some of my babies.
