I'm trying to combine pots of plants to get them ready to carry in for the winter. But some plants I just no longer want. Would anyone be interested in trading for this box of cacti and succulents? I don't know the names of each plant, but I know in the box will be:
a small ponytail palm, the bulb will be about an inch in diameter
an Old Man Cactus (about 8 to 12 inches tall)
Totem Pole cactus (thanks for the ID, Chantell) about a foot tall cylinder, has no thorns, but has triangular "bumps" all over it. It is beginning to produce another plant on the top. It's cool looking
Some small haworthias
Father in law tongue
very small gasteria
Mother of Millions
Some strange succulent with a knobby caudex and "cylinders" that have leaves only at the top. As it grows, it seems to shed lower leaves so that it always has daylily-like leaves sticking out of the top
Small rooted Madeira vine
Bulbs from a hardy variegated yucca (the spines on this plant aren't as stiff as on other yuccas. The leaves bend easily so you don't get pricked like you do with other yuccas. Foliage is gold and green. Beautiful!)
I may add more to this box as run out of room for my succulents. The whole box would go as one trade. Some of the plants would be small but perhaps some of these are rare.
I'd love to trade for:
Variegated ginger Costus Variegata with the fuzz on the back of the leaves (not Alpinia Zerumbet variegata - got that one already)
Ornamental grasses hardy to zone 7, particularly Pink Pampas, black mondo, anything pink blooming, variegated, or unusual (I already have zebra grass, maiden grass, hardy white pampas grass)
Peonies
Turn of the Century hibiscus
Other unusual hardy hibiscus
Unusual elephant ears
Unusual perennials
See my other posts for perennials and books and DVDs if you'd like to do a bigger trade. The other posts list other plants I'm looking for as well.
Thank you for looking.

CLOSED: HAVE: Cacti and Succulent Surprise
NancyAnn,
Please check your dmail. I'm interested in your 'surprise' box.
Shirley
Just added a few more succulents to this box. It's going to be full of various easy to grow succulents. Some may be rare. I don't know. I don't see them around here. But I couldn't tell you what some of them are. Anyone else interested in trading?
NancyAnn
I've taken some pictures of the succulents I've gathered up for this box. In the back you can see Old Man cactus and Totem Pole cactus. The old man has lots of pricklies. But the Totem Pole is thornless, just knobby.
To the left of the Old Man cactus is a thorny Aloe leaf (I broke it off while transplanting the aloe). I hear they root easily, so I thought I'd include it in this package.
To the right of the Aloe is some sort of plant with grass like leaves at the top and a knobby caudex. It's a nice size plant, altho you can't see it well in the picture. I'm sending the entire plant.
Next to it is a common Aloe Vera, with babies and then two ponytail palms with one inch caudex or bulbs.
In front of the Aloe vera (on the right) is a stapelia (I think that's what it is). You can't see it well in the photo, but it's a cool plant, great for a hanging basket. In front of that is a small cluster of gasterias, then a father in law tongue (dwarf sanseveria).
Next to those are some small Mother of Millions. There are two kinds in there. One is more common with flat speckled leaves and the other has tubular speckled leaves.
Over on the far left is a jade plant.
In front is a cluster of haworthias and in the front center is a Madeira vine with a nice sized bulb that has sprouted more bulbs.
In front of the pot are four variegated yucca bulbs. These yuccas are hardy here for me. They are green and yellow striped. I think they have white flowers. They aren't too prickly like most yuccas are.
All of these plants will be in the box. As I putter around, I may find something else to add, but you get all of these for sure if we trade.
