Wow that's a lot of buds! Thank goodness your stems look nice and thick. I had 2 Isabella's with a load of buds on them. We had a couple of days of rain and the stems couldn't handle the weight and broke.

I've been out this morning telling all my brugs: it's bloom or doom!!

I sure hope they will have time to open for you.

I really do hope that there is time for all those buds to open for you. I would think in your zone that there would be. It will definitely be beautiful when they are all open.

Judy.......I sure hope your brugs pay attention to you.....lol

Thank you Dott.. I never thought of that! I'll be ready to prop them up if I have to.. Thank you for the "heads up"...

Hey Judy! I've threatened the life of a seedling and even creamsickle if they don't do something soon.. guess what? The buds are getting fat! LOL Cracks me up.. I bet the neighbors would have me hauled off if they could hear me out there.. They already try to pretend they are not staring at me when they drive by.. LOL

Thank you for the vote of confidence BrugNanny.. I am so worried about it.

ZZ,

I bet they will open. And when they do I want pictures. They WILL be so beautiful, I love how they all hang down and you can see all the buds. Soon you WILL see all the blooms.

Joyce, did your TS blooms ever open? Have any pics?

I heard on the news this morning that we are going to have El Nino this winter, so we are suppose to have a warmer winter. All mine are loaded with small buds right now, so I am hoping the frost will hold off .

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Not yet Barb, There are about 3 or 4 getting ready to open, but it's a S L O W process!

Yeah.. I've been hearing suggestions of El Nino too.... that would sure be a good thing if all the buds I have get a chance to open! This is my first Fall/winter w/Brugs, I'm not sure what to expect.. I just know I really worked my butt off to get these buds and all the others.

I'm just outside of San Diego. I had blooms until frost, which I think happened late November or early December. My memory isn't as good as it used to be. LOL Once my husband finished the greenhouse some bloomed in there too. We ususally have light frost which doesn't kill, but will do tip damage. I'm not sure exactly where Lodi is. Some of mine will stay outside this year as I aquired more than my greenhouse can hold. I'll throw a sheet or blanket over them when there's frost warnings. Rosamond stayed outside the whole year last year and only got tip damage.

Thank you Mary.. I have been wondering about what I'm gonna do for sure. The bulk of them have to stay outside.
Lodi is near Stockton if you know where that is.. LOL I'm 45 minutes south of Sacramento. We really don't have much in the way of a freeze.. so I'm not worried.. my brugs are a such a HUGE JUNGLE and I can afford to loose a little!

Here is a progress note on what's opening.. wow.. getting prettier every day. I'm jazzed... I have so many buds on almost every brug I have! Most of them are still really small... but it's really getting exciting now.

Oh they are getting big, Joyce. Soon you will have a real show.

I always leave my brugs out, though my best ones do go into the hoop house. Last year we had an real early light frost in November that killed my tender annuals. Then none for the rest of the winter. This year I am so heavy on the tropicals that I will cry if we have a real cold one. Though if we get too much rain that is bad too.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Thank you Kell... Yeah, I'm a little worried about the Frost... but I only have 2 double seedlings I'm gonna save.. the rest can be replaced. Okay.. Bee Bee gets a sheet and shelter even though she is a single. LOL...

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL. I bet they all survive esp if it is as warm winter as they are predicting. My problem is more rot in the winter from all the rain.
