Happy Thanksgiving to all My Canadian Friends
Well, hello there! Happy Thanksgiving to you! Do the Canadians have a special meal that is traditional like we have with turkey and all the trimmings? How have you been? What's new?
Happy Thanksgiving to all us Canadians.!! Nice to hear from you again, Joanne. Ü
We sure do, Snowrose. We had our thanksgiving feast last evening. It included Turkey, stuffing, gravy; taters and carrots (fresh from the garden), cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. MMM, so yummy. Of course, for me it also included a antacid pill for good measure!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all our Canadian friends! Mmmmm....you're making me hungry. We'll get our chance next month. So much to be grateful and thankful for.
Oops...better late than never...hope our Canadian friends had a wonderful holiday!
LOL @ the antacid pill...but sorry you needed one!
Hello everyone!
Well we ended up going out for our Thanksgiving dinner and it was great except there was no stuffing (traditional) and no dream whip for the pumpkin pie (also traditional)
Our youngest daughter came down for the weekend so we had a very good Thanksgiving and yes we have a lot to be thankful for.
Thanks for the replies and well wishes!
Now our American friends have their Thanksgiving coming up soon - so what is your traditions?
Joanne
Well our Thanksgiving will be a little different this year as I'm trying some new recipes. I'm on Weight Watchers which lets me be flexible with what I eat, with portion control. So, I'm thinking I better not put any cornbread dressing on the table (no control there). Our traditions are pretty much the same, Turkey, dressing, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, some sort of sweet potato dish and lots and lots of football.
Yummmmm...love cornbread stuffing...actually Cornbread anything! LOL, I would have no control either Susan. I like Sweet Potato too, but unfortunately, dh does not. :(

Morning!
I love everything but I have never tasted cornbread anything before....I know I live a sheltered life...LOL!
Sweet potatoes or yams both my hubby and I love them....I actually have some I need to cook. I am going to try to make shepherds pie from leftover soup/stew that my hubby just informed me, that he ate most of it....grrrrr!!!
Have a super weekend everyone!
Joanne
