New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone...
I always cut my brugs back before bringing them inside for the winter..but I noticed this one was so full of buds...that I couldn't do it! It now has 23 blooms...and 23 more to come! But I don't know the name of it???? Can anyone help?
Oh....and it starts out yellow..then turns a sort of cream color, and then pink.

Hmmmm, I have one that STARTS out pink and turns to yellow - there are so many and I have NO IDEA what mine is, either!

I would say it is a suaveolens or a suav hybrid. They are so many with that look. The neck looks long to me for a Frosty but it is along those lines. The trouble is if you cross a suav you get lots of seeds from 1 pod and each one will be some what genetically different so they can be crossed together, but they look virtually the same.

Wow what a wonderful display.

That's great Kay! There are so many pretty ones, I know!
Thanks Kell! It's nice to put some kind of name to it!!
Thank you Judy...I tell you...it smells soooooooo wonderful in the evening in my kitchen!!! What a fragrance!! Well actually, it goes all over the house!!
When it is done blooming it will be relegated to upstairs...LOL! I just sorta let them "veg" through the winter. They seem to do fine up there....even sometimes bloom.
I DO love the brugs!!

Oh Marcy, that sounds so heavenly... I've learned what a hopeless addict I am to this fragrance... I'll battle any bug, wait for months, inspect hourly... you name it.. whatever I have to do toI get a whiff of that fragrance, I'll do it.. cause when I finally do get to sniff, I forget the whole world. I'm so happy for you.

Ohhhhh I know exactly what you mean ZZs!! Ya know...seems a lot of flowers that have fragrance smell like a certain kind of perfume..but the fragrance of brugs is so totally their own! At least that's the way I perceive it. And what is really strange...I always forget how they smell! I walk into the kitchen that first night they bloom...and it's dark...and I think..what is that heavenly smell in here???? LOL...duhhhh!!! At least it doesn't take me long to figure it out!!! Thanks ZZs!!

Thanks Kareoke! I got all my brugs from Don...Tropicman...some yrs. ago. For some reason, I didn't keep the names with them. Maybe he will tell us what it's name is for sure?

I wonder if it is the one that Clare posted on Don's thread. Has the same tendrils.

You are lucky for these usually bloom in big flushes and just light up your world.

Thanks Kell! Ya know...I think Don did tell me it was a pink frosty..but you did see what Clare said about it maybe being a suaveolens hybrid..right? Soooooooooooo...maybe that is it!
