Hello all!! I didn't want to post this on Debbie's thread...I would like everyone to continue their support and prayers for Debbie, Shannon and their family. Please remember Janet, her mom and family as well. For those that have lifted my grandmother in prayer...I thank you! For Becky who took me out for a "girl's day" today in rains that made us search for Noah and his ark...a big ole thank you as well!! So many folks have issues that far bypass my own that I try not to take up too much "space" here discussing them. This has been one of "those" weeks though that has proven emotionally exhausting. I found out the day after returning from vacation that my soon to be 18 y.o. is "expecting." We've handled this well, considering the not ideal (what is in life though) circumstances. She's doing well and I'm grateful for that. Not much ready to take on the role of grandmother - was just go-carting and boogie boarding at the beach...remember? LOL Please remember her and the baby in your prayers...just asking for His guidance and their health...I would be very grateful to you all. As you know my grandmother has not been well. I won't go into the very long story but her health has not been great for the last couple of years and it's been very difficult for her - for many reasons. She had a test done to see if they were going to need to apputate (sp?) her leg. Results were to be Wed. Wed. morning my DD's (with child) asthma starting acting up...was a "bad" morning for various additional reasons as well. While at bday dinner with Becky that night I rec'd a call that DD's asthma had gotten bad (among some issues in the house) and told my neighbor I'd meet them at the ER. Was with DD there for 4 hours...after a breathing treatment...and time to calm down...she was d/c doing much better. Got home too late to call my grandmother. Called grandmother next AM on my way to work...no answer. In a panic called my uncle who said didn't I read my email...they were taking her in for surgery at 11:30!!! What?!!! OMG...can I tell you...I was in a state ALL morning. My grandmother had to be revived the last two times she had surgery as her heart stopped BOTH times. My uncle called early afternoon to say she came through the surgery just fine...no issues with her heart. They'd decided after reviewing her results to try and run a line from her shoulder to lower leg to avoid apputation at this time...hoping that would get circulation going to her lower leg. Last I spoke with her (yesterday) the foot was pink...and good sign as it's been an ugly color for weeks. Thank you all for listening...but most importantly for your kinds thoughts and prayers.
Hugs,
Chantell
Thankful...despite one of "those" weeks...
