OT.. I Said Goodbye

Huntsville, AL(Zone 7a)

to my best friend for 19 years yesterday, Buffy. She came to me as a 5 week old kitten and we have been best buds ever since. If I was in the house, she made sure she was in the same room. And if I was outside, she would sit at the door or window so she could see me. It's just been the two of us for so long. But old age took its toll on her body and I knew I had to let her go. She enriched my life so very much. I will always be grateful for that. I miss her so.

Thanks for listening,
Barb

So sorry Barb. I have had to lose so many dogs and cats after 17+ years. They are like a family member, sure know how you feel. They just can't be replaced.

Oh Barb, I am so sorry. You must be so sad. What a bad day for you. The next few months will be so hard.

Maybe you will be up to get another baby to love later on. Our lives are so enriched by them.

Barb,
Sorry to hear your companion is gone. You must have had a wonderful 19 years with Buffy.

I am so sorry Barb. It is so difficult to lose a cherished friend. Our animals are more like our children than our pets. My thoughts will be with you.

So sorry to read of the loss of your furry best buddy. My kitties lived to old age too, one was almost 18, and her son lived to about 18 1/2. Never easy, even when we know that their quality of life isn't anymore. But, they'll all be waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge someday.

I too am very sorry for your loss. We all know what you are going through. Kell, Kin, and I all lost a cat this year, and it is a painful thing to go through. I share Kell's sentiment in that I hope you adopt a cat in need of a home as soon as you are able to. There are so many homeless ones out there looking for love and a place to exist. A new cat can't replace the memories or love you feel for Buffy, but I promise that it will lessen the pain of her passing and fill the void that you will have now. Take comfort in the fact that you gave Buffy a great life and that she loved you and you loved her.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words. They ~ and YOU ~ are appreciated more than you know. Buffy was a wonderful friend and will live on in my heart and mind forever.

Thanks again,
Barb

Barb, I am so sad to hear of your loss.. I agree with Clare, there is another dear kitty out there who needs a wonderful life like you gave your dear Buffy. You can never replace her, but you can help another one who deserves to be loved. Bless you.

Barb I am so sorry to hear of your loss I am sitting here at my computer with tears running down my cheek. It was about 3 years ago when we loss our first little female pug, my husband and myself cried like a baby. Our male pug went into a depressed stage like you wouldn't believe. We decided we were going to get another one. So we started looking. Before the week was over we had found our dear sweet Holly. You can never replace the one you have loss but you can find another friend. My advise is to find your self a new friend. There are a lot of baby kittens, or cats that long to have there very own family.
