I have a cassia bush that the cloudless sulfurs keeps laying eggs on. However, the ants and other critters keep eating the eggs. I tried taking a branch and putting it, including eggs, in my butterfly box. But the cassia isn't very hardy and wilts too easily, so I end up without any cats.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Karen
Cassia and Sulfurs ?
Karen, when I cut off a mw leaf with an egg on it, it wilts quickly too. If you put it in a jar and continue to replenish the jar with it's food leaves, when it hatches it will go over to them and start eating. I cut the piec of leaf with the egg on it into a triangle shape so I remember not to throw it away.
Excellent, thanks so much!!! Karen
