Chlorospatha is a small genus of aroids that occur mostly in mid-high elevation areas of western South American and northward into Central America. The genus is related to Xanthosoma and is poorly known and most species are hard to grow. This one has been the easiest for me and Im constantly getting pups from the mother plant. The leaves are divided and sit atop marked petioles. The odd shaped leaf below the flower is not of Chlorospatha but of Cyrtosperma hamballii. The pic was taken this past summer.
