Thank you brug friends! You know who you are!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Well, it's been a full year at my new house. I moved here last year, just in time to have to store all my plants. It went badly. I lost everything. When I asked for help, a handful of you stepped up and mailed me new cuttings, some rooted and some not. I think I had 99% success. Sadly it's time to drag them all in again. I'm going to store them all in the greenhouse this winter and see if they do better than they did in the garage. The garage here did not work as well as the garage at the other house.

Now you have to sit through my boring pictures of the brugs being dragged in! LOL You must see how well I cared for your babies! I think you also need to take up a collection to buy me a new wagon! ROTFLOL Okay, not seriously. I did wear it out though and it was a very good summer. ;)

The pond is under reconstruction but these brugs are on their 2nd or 3rd flush and looked nice all year. It looks a bit naked as I had already started digging up ears and moving 25 gallon pots of cannas, brugs and such.

My poooooor wagon! I got my money's worth out of it but I think these heavy brugs are about the end of it. LOL

well you only posted one picture *LOL* but they look great, I know how you feel about bringing them in when they are loaded with blooms, mine bloomed late and it's killing me to have to cut them up, as they are too large to dig this year.

They are all so pretty and smelled so good!

The are sitting outside the greenhouse but headed in before too long. I wanted to get them moved from the front yard so it won't be so much further. LOL I figure I might have a few more days...

LOVELY, Badseed. You are a good plant mommie. So beautiful with the underplantings.... I will have to do that next year. Your pond still looks good. I love your hauling set-up... someone helps you heave those big babies in there, don't they? How nice of those who sent you starts...and how nice for you to have the greenhouse, this year. I always enjoy your pics! thx B

Someone helps me?? Do you want to know how sore my shoulder and neck are?!?! LOL My ten year old did scoot the mower back and forth for me so I wouldn't have to walk so far with the pots. LOL

I waited 10 years to finally get a greenhouse. Some parts cracked here lately and I wrote to the company and they are sending me a new one! Hopefully the old one won't mind housing all these until I figure out what to do next. I may throw some 6 mil plastic over it as well because I don't want to lose everything again!

I had a really good plant year despite a crazy schedule and lots of time running. All will be well once we sell our other house. :)

Oh no!, get one of them little girls to give you a back rub! Or DH... you need a helper with stuff like that.
(Badseed.. She DA 'Man!) Bless your heart! I don't see how you keep up!

Hubby is cleaning the kitchen from end to end right now then running to the grocery. I ain't saying a word. LOL

I told someone the other day: I have met myself so much coming and going, that I am not sure I am moving anymore. hahahaha

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

Michele, your brugs are sooo pretty! I have all mine in now...they are upstairs except for one. It is getting ready to flush big time...and it's in the kitchen where I can see it! I don't know which one it is though. When it blooms I will take a pic of it and maybe someone can identify it?
Lots of work bringing in these plants for sure!!

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

There may not be room for me, once they go in there! LOL

I can't help you move your plants in the greenhouse but if you don't have room I'll store some in Baton Rouge.

When I say I'm going into the back yard, you have never seen a houseful of people scurry in another direction.
Jeri

PS I asked a nephew to help me move plants one year and he stuck a sign out by the road that said ""Plants For Sale.""

OH no!! Bad nephew! LOL How quick did the plants move? :)

I may be paying people to take some of these after I try to shove them all in the greenhouse. I'm going to take out one of the shelving units and start with the smallest plants shoved to the sunniest part and back my way out. Or die trying.....

I can't believe it has been a full year since you moved. Your place is so big. So much land to fill with plants. I sure hope you sell your other house soon. That must be a big drain having to keep that on your already full plate.

Your brugs are just great Chele!! Great job.

Michele
your lawn tractor looks like it has had a work out also
get or borrow a welder & fix that wagon, you can do anything i hear :-)
in your picts it looks like you have a large barn & 2 nice size sheds ?
i think i would have replaced the roof & part of the south wall on one or more of them with fiberglass panels
& made a make shift green house :-)
your brugs look soooo good they make me jealous

Hi Dick! We bought this place last year. There is a small barn/tack building that is 15x15 and another larger barn that is probably 25x25 give or take. I have been giving serious consideration to covering the small one with something to use as a year round greenhouse. :) I need that other house to go away before I make any huge plans. LOL I think the other building you are seeing might be the chicken coop. It's either going away completely or going to be used for storage. It's not in great shape and being so close to the trees makes it a bit dangerous for small animals that could get eaten by larger animals and such. We plan to build a new one on the other side of the property so we can get chickens next year.

I brought my 8x12 greenhouse with me from the other house. It's had a few parts crack and when I wrote to them recently, they sent me a new one! It's only been here since yesterday. I am trying to decide if I want to cough up some money to extend it. You can add on to that type, up to 24 feet long. Of course it's $350 for four linear feet............

If you need some brugs, you know where to find me. ;)

Lewisburg, KY(Zone 6a)

Hi, your brugs look great. Coleus at the base is a good idea, it helps cover that bare trunk. I have a few to overwinter too.
