Just wondering if anyone has grown this plant? I did a search, but only got one result that I think might be about it. I saw one at a nursery and was curious.
Desert Crossvine
I had to google "desert crossvine" to know hich vine you are referring to...
I think you are referring to Podranea ricasoliana.

I grow it, and love it. It is pretty; blooms in Fall; doesn't spread like orange trumpet vine; is fragrant, and comes back from the roots in 8a,each Spring.
Great vine, and should be more readily available, and more widely grown.

Thank you! That looks just like it! I didn't have the species name from where I saw it, naively thinking I could find info easily. I hadn't found that site and it's a good one. Yes, it does look interesting.
I certainly recommend it.
...especially since you can pick it up locally. Most people have to really hunt this one down. I know I did!

I planted a 1g about 5 yrs ago where I lived in Katy. It has taken over the wooden fence & is flowing over into the front yard. It is a traffic stopper, considering it on the corner of a cul-de-sac.
I have access to cuttings anytime anyone wants any. They root easily.
Important: Train or direct young runners where you want them to go! It becomes like a woody vine & will come back each yr & bloom fr warm to cold, in Texas.
I think I will have some @ the CSRU, if you are coming!!! lol
That is beautiful !
That's a beautiful vine. I've been looking for something to go on my back fence, and I think this would do nicely. Smockette....any chance I could have some cuttings of this at the roundup?

Making a list: You got it!
Great! Thanks so much! Now I've got to get a list together.....

Wow that is pretty- I hadn't seen that before. Will have to track that down!
What a pretty vine, and fragrant too!
Smockette, could I also beg a cutting from you at the RU? :^ )

Added you to my list!
thank you!
