OT....anyone else with rolling blackouts tonight?

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

Bryan and College Station have been experiencing rolling blackouts all night. My whole neighborhood has been hanging out in the street waiting for power to come back. The university has been out and I'm worried about some of my experiments. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it but wait. We just had power come back here after being out for over an hour, but I know from talking with my neighbors that other places were out longer than that. Anyone else?

Hi Kim,
My power went out about 5:45 and didn't come back on until 9:23. I was so glad to see light again... I live between Carlos and Iola.

We didn't have a power outage but a tractor with a huge plow came down the road and took out the phone line. So glad it wasn't the electric lines. Don't mind doing with outh the phone but AC would be a little different.

Kim, Hope your experiments were ok.We were without power from 6:30 until 10pm. Then we were afraid to turn on the AC in case it was just a fluke and was going out again. This morning at work at the vet school lots of our machines were affected but nothing that wasn't able to be rebooted and all was okay.it's so much hotter today I'm glad the AC is on nancy

Got to the lab this morning and everything seems to be ok. As long as no one opens the incubators, they usually can handle a couple hours off, but all night would've been too much. So I guess we got lucky. The AC here was doing the on again...off again last night and we were worried too about turning it back on. Definitely too warm to be without it right now!

:) Kim
