I've been thinking lately that some of my plants could use a haircut! Anyone want some leaves? I've got leaves and maybe some plantlets just for postage. That's how I got all my bounty (some not even for postage, just outright given to me!) and now it's time for me to share...
I'll edit this tomorrow to put what leaves, how many, and what plantlets. Oh...and I move s-l-o-w-l-y !! But better get this going before the cold weather hits...
Planti
Time to play it forward-Leaves offered :)
Although I am not capable enough to grow leaves yet, I would be interested in any plantlets. I am good at growing those.
Bless you Jacki ! and your green thumbs. This is what it's about growing African violets/Gesneriads are fun to grow and share !
Do you have any blooming pictures ! :))
Do you have any leaves or plantlets for a true red or a yellow? If so, dmail me to set up a trade, and thanks for sharing!
Do you ship to Canada?
Ccino~ Gosh, I am so leary of trying to ship to Canada after some of the bad experiences I've heard about. Does anyone know how it would go if I just shipped some leaves?
Kay~ I don't think I actually have a red or a yellow, but will have to double check.
Allison~ I've got bloom buds on several just now and still waiting on pictures. I wouldn't have any to share if it weren't for you !!! :)))
I got fined $100.00 for last box caught going out of the Country without a phytosanitary documents .
Read what the large Vendors say. Like Violet Barn for one ~ They Charge Like $24.00 Shipping starts at All International and Canadian customers. Add $40 for the first 1 to 20 plants and $2.00 per plant after 20 plants on top of the $24.00 plus each plant
And on top of this ALL Vendors say Note! All international and Canadian orders are shipped at customer's risk! All plants are packed very carefully and sent in an insulated box. But, we cannot be responsible for the actions of custom's officials or your local postal service.

Wished I had never tried doing this :(( But people the past couple years talked me into it and it only takes one time to get caught and fined.
Also ; LIke Rob says Keep in mind that regulations are always changing. Always contact your local authorities--this is your responsibility, not ours! What is posted below reflects only our most recent experience and may no longer be true at the time we ship your order! We will always truthfully state the contents of the package on customs forms--do not ask us to make false statements.

Canadian Shipping Information:
Shipping is at CUSTOMER'S RISK ONLY! Because of your agricultural regulations, we must ship plants prior to June 1st, or after September 1st, of each season. A phytosanitary certificate is required by your Department of Agriculture for plants to enter Canada from the United States. There is a $25.00 fee for this certificate. All orders are sent USPS EXPRESS MAIL. Please add $30.00 per order for shipping & handling fees. Any postage fees over this amount will be charged to your account.
Hek on top of all shipping and handling is extra. Just to ship to Florida they charge 20 cents a plant plus 3 to 6 plants - $20.85
Jacki I can't wait to see your bloomers :))
Kay maybe someone in the forum has some reds or yellows they can share ! I know there's a lot of owners of some out there if their still growing them !
Okay...I'm going to post my list. Choices go to cedarnest first (she emailed me), then kaykay, then Kay Jones if there is a red. As I wrote to Ccino, I'm not doing the Canada thing right now... Plantlets means babies in a cup and a leaf offer is for a pair of leaves.
All done for now! Will be more later. Thanks to all that have shared av's with me, especially Violet Treasure and Spyder. Their generosity have made many other trades possible.
I think that's about it. I'll try to edit the list as people choose. Have Fun :))
