Well, like everyone else I am scrambling to get my 20+ brugs moved into the shade for the transition to the basement and dormancy for the winter! Fortunately here in Pittsburgh, we are getting a bit of a reprieve this week. In the 70's today, 80's tomorrow and warm all week long! Phew! I really needed a few extra days. My big decision is to decide which precious plant gets to spend the winter in the light of my very little sunroom. I had all of them in there last year and it was a buggy jungle. I had to take everything out of there-- and I mean everything. I won't do that again because of the mites, etc. Yuck. I do have a question for all of you "experts"--I see so much info on here about so many different plants that you love and rave about. What's your absolute favorite? I know that's a hard question and everyone enjoys something different. I want to add to my collection, but I am running out of room, so I want to get what the die-hards love the most. Like all of you, some of mine perform nicely, some don't bloom at all. This has been a bad summer here in western PA. Not much did well until recently and now it's getting cold! We were short-changed this year. Anyway, I would love something that blooms reliably and continuously. I have been reading your posts about those continuous bloomers that flush and then just keep on blooming. That's what I want. I can't wait for your responses. Thank you!
What's your favorite Brug?
Yikes! Pick a favorite? Impossible! LOL Do you have a cellar you could put some in, and just let them go dormant for the winter?
Mine have to 'earn' there way into the greenhouse. My double pinks will go in for sure because they're my particular passion. For singles Painted Lady earned her way in for sure. I've got tiny buds on Vixen and Autumn Treasure so it remains to be seen if they'll earn their admission. Candida Double White and Rosamond both survived outside last year, so I'll probably do that again.

I agree it is hard to pick a favorite because most of us have so many. I would list some of my top
favorites as B. creamsickle ( bloom also ), Golden Lady , Susanne and this year Hawaiian dbl.white has bloomed all summer almost nonstop. I will be moving alot of my favoites and new seedlings that didn't quite make it to blooming into the cold greenhouse for the winter. My Desiree is loaded with buds and is planted in the ground, so I won't be able to dig that to bring in, so I will root a cutting off it.
Painted lady is another definite save this year.
