Keep brugsmansia outdoors Zone 7B (Charlotte, NC) all year ?

Waxhaw (Charlotte), NC(Zone 7b)

I have a question as we may be moving within the next 12 months.

We are moving to South Carolina, right at the border between North Carolina/South Carolina by Charlotte, NC (zone 7b).

Does anyone from that area have experiences with the growing of Brugsmansia outdoors ? Can you leave them out all winter ? If so, do you arrange special protection ??

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I live 20 miles north of Charlotte. Some will over winter with mulch but no Versi Brugs will. I have Dr Suess, Frosted Pink, Isabella and several with lost tags that come back every year. Just take you some cuttings in case they shouldn't come back the following Spring especially if they are special Brugs. I've left them in five galoon pots and mulched them good and they came back. Of course, I've had some that didn't make it thru the winter also.

Hi,
I live in zone 7b in Danielsville, Georgia. We planted our yellow Angel Trumpet three years ago, and put a cutting next to the first the next year. All we do is cut them back as close to the ground as we can, and mulch them through the winter with pine straw, etc.
This year they have really outdone themselves and I am posting some pics that show their prolific flowering. Their scent fills the air and lifts the senses :)

Wow, that is some beautiful brugs. I wonder if they were in a tropical climate if they would become huge trees? They're huge now and you cut them back each winter. Enjoyed looking, thanks for sharing, Sheverne.
