CLOSED: Cosmos Polidor, Dreamland zinnia, Catus zinnia for SASA

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I have a lot of seeds of Cosmos Polidor, mostly orange with a few gold mixed in. Also red and bright pink Dreamland zinnias, Solan marigolds and some orange and gold cactus zinnias. Will also have some morning glory seeds later on. Will mail for SASE. Will be a few weeks before everything is dry enough to mail. Here is the cosmos Polidor. It is a double and about 3" tall.

Red Dreamland zinnia had large 3" flowers on fairly short 10" or so plants.

Solan marigolds are about 10-12" tall with red and gold blooms.

I think these are MaiSugata Japanese Morning glories. They have not set seeds yet, but should. Very nice blooms.

I should also have some mixed Japanese morning glories that will include 4 or 5 different ones including this white Yuki and pink and white Mikono Mai.

The mixed morning glories may also include these. They are all growing together, so I am not going to try to separate them.

Ok, I should have enough for everyone above and those who emailed me , but better close this for now until I see how many JMG seeds I get. They are so slow to form seed pods. If you could send a bubble envelope with postage, I will get them out in a few weeks. My address is in the exchange. If you don't know how to find it, email me. Hope these do well for you. Here is a photo of a gold cactus zinnia. I will include a few seeds for them too for everyone. This photo was taken when the bloom was passed it's prime, but they have been very pretty for weeks now.

Susan,

Thanks you for the offer, and also for posting the pictures....I didn't realize a cactus zinnia would be so pretty. Not sure what I was thinking -- sort of dry, ugly and spikey? LOL!

I have received SASE from most of you and will be getting them mailed sometime this week hopefully. Due to an early freeze, I did not get as many morning glory seeds as I hoped, but will be sure you each get at least a few. After checking, I think the Dreamland zinnias are hybrids, so the seeds will not come out exactly the same as the parents. I will include a few cactus zinnia seeds for everyone too in case you want to plant something you can be sure of the size. Thanks for being so patient.

I have found that the jMG are very stingy with their seeds. I got very few pods on mine - very disappointing...

I've found it really helps to start them indoor 4-6 weeks before the last frost. They seem to transplant OK. Unlike regular morning glories which make seeds right from the start, they seem to wait until late in the season to make them. Sometimes, I have cut off 18" pieces of stems with pods attached and brought them indoors in a cup of water and they have ripened that way. Just didn't get it done this year. Last year, I got hundreds of seeds off some vines since it waited longer to freeze. Varies some with the cultiver.
