Gosh John, I need to move to your town!

Don't you love how wide open that flower is? And the tilt of the flower so you get the full face. I love that trait.

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

Kell, this is beyond all my expectations. I always loved the photos but have never seen any thing like this in my life. My 80 year old Mother-in-law is just drooling. She is the beauty in the picture. John

John,
Do you know which one it is? I just got cuttings from Kareoke and I am wondering if I have that one... Hope so! It is beautiful!!!

Ah, so your MIL loves flowers too! How great you have so much to thrill her with. My Mom loved flowers too.

That last picture is just so great. She is in her glory there. I love it when the sun plays on the flowers like that.

Carol, I'm sorry that I don't know which one it is but I am sure kareoke will identify. It is a real beauty because I have never seen a bloom in real life. It is so huge. John

Hi John, change that to Doris LOL

That looks like my Rosa Traum from last year, and I no longer have her, she is a lovely color.

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

John,
Congratulations!! That's absolutely beautiful!!
Ok, are you like me and just put your nose up to the bloom and inhale and then smile? :)

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

I am so sorry, Doris, there is nothing wrong with my memory, it's just that I have a huge problem with my mental recall. John

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

*LOL* John don't we all, and at my age it's getting harder to remember my name.

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

I not only haved smelled it, it is in the garden that is about a 100ft from my computer room. I have to keep looking at it to make sure it is still there.

It looks like every bloom is going to stand out instead of hanging down. I think I am going to try and save this brug for sure. John

That is why I love suavs so much, their flowers nod. I love it when they open all the way and they look right at you!

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

I'm with Kell on that. I love the nodding blooms! Just big, happy faces smiling at you!

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

This is what really amazes me, the bloom starts out yellow and becomes a beautiful pink.

You are right kell.
I miss this brug because it was wonderful all around, color, looks, smell, right after I sent out cuttings the storm came and realy tore her up, I was gone for three days and when I came back it was too late to save her, the person I hired to check on them only checked in the front yard, forgot the back.

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

Here it is this morning. Doris, if you tell me how, I will send you some cuttings. John

It's raining out this morning, and is supposed to get down to 37deg thursday night. I dont know what to do with all the brugs that I have in the ground...

Awe, John, she is SO pretty. I like nodding blooms also, they just seem to have more pride than the "hangy-down" kind, (but I like them too). I think in 7a, once a frost "knocks" her down (sniff sniff), you could mulch it well and she would come back from the roots in spring. I'm not sure, though, some DG'er will know... You could dig her up and winter over.... maybe plant a "drilled pot" next year, drilled pot just helps keep the root ball confined for easier digging....

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

john I dig all mine up, they will not come back with our winter, and I doubt if yours would either, I also take lots of cuttings if the plant is too big to dig, I just sent you email about cuttings *S*

John,

That is beautiful. It looks much like mine. I brought mine inside when the weather got cold, she only had 2 blooms at a time and is now just putting out BIG leaves. The one thing about bringing her inside is that the Bugs leave her alone and the leaves are beautiful. I am going to keep her by my west window and see what she does this winter.
She is my first brug to bloom and I have loved it. Totally hooked on them.

Marie
