Anybody grows this in Houston area?
I have this one, but it's fairly new to me (this is my first full year). Seems easy - likes water, though not necessarily wet, apreciates a little "heat of the day" shade. I'll bet a fair amount of shade to even almost full dappled shade would work for it, though, you might lose an attractive feature with too much shade - the very reddish new growth. That's just speculation, though. I have some pics, though none here handy to post.
carter, I just got a small one. silly me, I didn't do my research beforehand and when I looked at palmbob's pic, all I could say is yikes! I wasn't really planning on a monster plant, beautiful yes, but gigantic. how much did yours grow in 1 year?
