Patty, your H. obscura bloomed? Unbelievable. You didn't get a cutting from me did you? They seem to always bloom for you and not for me. What's up with that????

How was the scent?

Hi Patti;
Yep, it sure is H. obscura. If you want a real treat, stick your nose close to the flowers in late evening or very early morning. It has the most delightful fragrance of Allspice. My husband always thinks I'm baking Apple Pies when it's in bloom.

Good morning Susan and Annie, Yes it is the cutting you ( Susan) gave me in the plug pot. It has really taken off as you can see.
I am here clearing out more room for more hoyas. It all your fault Susan . LOL I am really enjoying them. Thanks again.

Annie, My smell is a lilttle off right now due to allergies, so I really can't smell anything right now,but I will keep trying.
Thank you Annie for your generous offer of hoya cuttings I just received from you . I will always treasure them. :O)
Thanks again.

It sure looks lovely and healthy Patti. I'm still bugged that I couldn't root my cutting of that because it looks like such a nice one.

Thanks Sandy.
I am rooting them in jar of water with a drop ST. I put my cuttings outside on a table on my deck which is covered with 70% shade cloth . They get a lot of humidity here too. When they have a good root system I pot them up.
I am a newbie to growing hoyas. I have been growing hoyas for less than one year. To be honest, I think I have been really lucky and blessed, and I am really having a blast growing them.
