Does anyone know of a website where you can try to ID an insect, etc., by it's picture or description? I see some weird ones now and then, and of course by the time I get my camera, it's long gone. And I hate to kill them if I don't know they're destructive.
I saw one on my chile pepper plant that was basically a long, lime-green ladybug. Killed it as it was chewing on a stem. But I'd like to know what it was.

I have been able to identify everything I've found in my yard. If you click on the clickable guide for your particular bug, you can click that same type more than once for more bugs of that variety. I hope I explained that well.

I just moved from Beaumont to Lumberton a few months ago -- out of a townhouse and into a place where I can actually put things botanical in the ground! Was born in Bmt., and still work there. From your name, sounds like you have a shop?

Ann, I'd written out a really long message and I must have hit a wrong key and the whole thing went POOF! GRRRRRRrrr I hate when that happens with no warning whatsoever. I'll have to regather my thoughts again because I need to leave now.
