looking for Persian shield
I have a huge pot of persian shield. Just tell me how to correctly root this plant, which I also love! Is it a water rooter or horemone/loose soil?
I would like to trade for Hydrangea cuttings. I'll search DG for info on rooting shield and I'll be glad to send you bunches. DG mail me your addy.

Kathy, just cut them right below a leaf joint, leaving 2-3 sets of leaves above that. Snip or pinch off the bottom set or two of leaves so you have a stem with 1 or 2 joints in the dirt and at least one set above the dirt, so it looks like a little plant. Don't overwater and keep on the warm side.
hello yardqueen i responded mainly because you are near to me. and i pass thru emory quite often. i noticed that you grow duranta. do you grow it outside? are you zone 8a? i just got one of these plants this year and want to put it into the ground but dont' know if it can recover from a freeze. thanks for any information. barb
Kathy,
I am low on my Hydrangea cuttings as of a few minutes ago..LOL I could maybe send 3 or 4. Is there something else you would like too? I would like to have several of the persian shield if we can work it out.
Were you planning on rooting it first? most of my trades have been unrooted. I am sending mine with the cut end in a ziplock with moist perlite and peat mixture. zip it up on each side of stem and staple each side across the zipper. I would think the shield would be ok that way...what do you think? D-mail me..
