Is this the one you shot at the SF plant sale? Did you buy one? I like it a lot. :-)

Hi Sue. Yes it was there and Carlos had lots of his passifloras in small pots this time. But no I didn't get this one. I got others though. Why I have no clue. There was true frenzy in the vine room and I joined in, in full force. I am so easily swept away. I was so tired after, too much adrenalin spent.

I finally got a big medinilla cumingii after a few puny ones I mail ordered. Now I can kill a big one, so much more traumatic than. LOL

LOL, oh Kell, you crack me up!! It is a beauty though, hope it does last a while.

Ok so it was the UC sale, I thought the SF sale a couple of months ago because you took shots of a similar one.
So fill me in on the UC day!

hey lady you are up way too late!!

I guess it was late. I was going on plant searches all night till after 4 AM. LOL. The SF part you wrote went right over my head. Yes, I was Berkeley Bot. and I went solo to the Berkeley Bot sale. Lali beggedoff at the day before. She had ODed on the plants at the SF Arboretum Saturday. Boo to her. LOL

Oh it was so great. I saw Marilyn. Her section looked so good. I got so nuts. So what else is new? LOL. Then I went on to Berk Hort. Oh my, I had the best time there a few hours walking around in a my usual daze. I met Mr Annie Annuals and he was so helpful and so nice and so hot.

I bought 3 more Lapagerias at the Bot. sale. People had already grabbed the ones with such HUGE flowers but I got the reddest one, a picotee and a double red. I am such a plant pig.

My heart was a thumping as I waited on line to get in. And then Tom of Longs beat me to the begonias because some nice lady was chatting me up to join California Hort. LOL. I let Lali down there. And I knew Tom buys all his begonias there, he told me that at his open house. Oh well...............

I found this in the display garden at Berkeley Hort. I just know Pretty Sue that you are going to drool big time. I am on the hunt for it. I need it.

Hi Marie. I wonder if it could live in your hot area. It is a species found in Costa Rica I do believe I read. At 4,500 ft, isn't that in the cloud foest?

I saw it for sale at the Berkeley Botanical Garden sale. They have a great guy there, Carlos, who does all their Lapagerias and passionflower propagation. You can get ones of each that you can find nowhere else. It is a thrill to go and look and be in wonder.

No probably would not grow here but I am in total climate denial!! I have to try everything at least 3 times inside and out then sometimes I still cannot accept the fact that I cannot grow something. If I had my way I would turn our 1200 sq ft work shop into a green house.

That orange is to die for!!

Oh yeah, that is a to-die-for color!

So is that Tom from Longs or Tom from Ace? Or are you still half asleep? LOL

Mr. Annie's Annuals 'hot'???? Do tell!! Was he there with Annie?

I am hobbling around on crutches, completely twisted my right ankle last night in a small ditch on edge of my lawn and fell. (so embarrassing!) Got Xrays but no break, torn ligaments though... so I will not be able to shop for some while! whaaaaaaaa!
I did buy an epi off eBay this morning 'cause I was feeling sorry for myself! Thank goodness for the www. I think.

I knew you would love it. LOL. Just your color.

Ohhhhhhhhhh POOR POOR SUE! OUCH! I hope you heal up fast.

I tell you I am having a mind scramble, more than usual. For the last 24 hours I have been calling Berk. Hort East Bay.... I was even corrected by a vireya online seller. LOL. They knew! So embarrassing. And now Longs for Ace. Yes, Tom from Ace. Gosh I hope they start doing brain transplants soon.

Mr. Annie is so cute, he said he calls himself that. No, no Annie. But his sale is coming up and he said we must all go. So lets. LOL Heal up fast, lady.

Here is another vireya that was in bloom.

I know, 30% OFF!, this weekend. I MUST get better!!! I have a small list from my wish list I MUST have LOL!
Only a die hard plant nut goes on crutches. Maybe I will be able to ditch them by then.

Oh, I love that vireya!!
You know I had one set aside for you, was suposed to be an orange one and it croaked during that July heat spell, I was so mad!!

Funny how I find yours and Lali's threads and we all go off in different directions! She hasn't been on much lately. Butch had a whole long thread going in the begonia forum and we went back and forth and I didn't see her commenting at all I think.

Oh shoot, where did you get that now dead vireya, lady?

I had dinner with Lali on Friday night, she and Jeff came for sushi in SF. I know she has been a busy bee with her plants. I have neglectd the Begonia Forum too. Too many forums, too many emails and too many plants.

We may put together a Berkeley nursery hop. Marilyn wants to do one.

It was one I got from someone moving, she had too many potted plants on her patio (imagine!)
I recently cut out several watched forum, I had too many. I figured if I want, I can check them anytime but didn't need them listed all the time.
