lily bulbs

When is the best time to plant lily bulbs? I like the big fragrant ones like Casa Blanca and others. Any great sources. I'm in Northern California.

I've found lilies will do well pretty much whatever time you plant them. If it's this fall you obviously won't get flowers until next summer, but by that time the plants will have settled in and made a good root growth.

Well I dont know about N. Ca. but I just received - and planted - my lilies last week.Most lily specialists ship in the fall.
