more fall crocus..Colchicum and Crocus

The 'fall' crocus season continues in my area. Here are some of my Crocus nudiflorus. They are the first of the true autumn crocus to bloom. This species actually runs undergroud, popping up some distance away from where they were originally planted.

Colchicum autumnale 'Album'...not quite open. This one is floriferous but has very small flowers for a Colchicum.

My colchicum speciosum album are just coming into bloom. They aren't very
photogenic though.

I like that Viola...I've tried it twice and both times the slugs completely destoyed them. Waterlily is lovely. I just bought one myself!

Todd - I'm with you on the viola. I didn't success the first try but on my second, I
got lots of little volunteer beauties. I love the folliage!
