We are still in the process of completing our water garden..but already we have a guest!!! We are hoping he becomes a member of the family and just moves on in to the new "digs". Isnt this a great pic? Hubby got a new camera and he is really happy with it...Hope yall enjoy the pic as well...

It looks like he's calling his friends too! Be careful where you step in the mornings, I have them hopping around the garden looking for bugs and when they hop straight up in front of you it's startling to say the least.

What a cute little guy! You got the perfect picture. Thanks for sharing with us. :-)

Claremore, OK

They love those rims of the pots.

Let me know if you are looking for starts of any water plants. Water plants if they are "happy" are usually vigorus growers, and I've got some great trades from different water gardeners here at Dave's.

Have fun with your pond and take lots of pictures to post.

All the best,

Teddy is a real cutie! I love frogs and toads. I especially like the tree frogs. Here is a pic of one of our resident bullfrogs.

Teddy has OFFICIALLY moved in. He has taken over an extra of my self-watering containers. He is too cute. He poked his head out at us when we are in his "neighborhood"..mostly in the evenings when we are trying to enjoy the water garden. Also, Teddy has company. Dont have a pic of the "new guy in town". Maybe when he gets a bit more settled...
Oh..this evening, the city came around with the trucks to spray for mosquitos. How does that affect the water gardens? We covered ours up with a tarp..at least until the fog from the spray went away..Info???
Darlindeb..We have a few water plants. I really dont know what they are. We went to some local canals and drainage areas from BIG ponds and gathered some. I will have hubby take pics. One has leaves shaped like hearts..Another has sword type leaves with tiny, tiny flowers..Ya know..I think my hubby took a macro pic of that one..I will post it and see if anyone knows what it is!

Lucky! I've tried to introduce frogs to no avail. And this year I put in what seemed like thousands of tadpoles which I hoped were toads. I think all of them got eaten. I'm going to try again with the toads next year.

LOL! I am like a kid..or a little boy..(and a gal here!)..Anytime I see a frog or toad, I scoop em up and rush em over to meet Teddy. So far, only one other has come back for another visit. Probably trying to avoid the crazy lady scooping up all his buddies and moving them to new digs! LOL!

I guess I'm lucky here. Whenever I put in a water feature, they just move in without an invitation. Not that I don't want them, as I love them. So cute!
