Cat Question: skin condition?

Houston, United States(Zone 9b)

Hi all.

I have a beautiful cat....about 2 years old, who has this spot on her lower jaw right by her mouth that gets flaky black spots (really small spot) and I thought it was dirt but when it didn't come off after days of her grooming herself I wiped at it with a wet cloth and it seemed like it might be dried blood?

But that was 2 weeks ago and I wiped the same spot today....underneath once you clean the spot the fur is gone but there doesn't appear to be any open wounds.

I checked her this evening, several hours after cleaning it, and there seems to be a small hint of the black stuff again.

I'm sorry if this sounds icky...I'm just wondering what it is. I had a dog once who had a skin condition where she'd get OILY black dots you had to scrub out of her fur but this isn't oily or wet...always dried and you have to really rub to get it out of her fur....like it's dirt. But she hasn't been back outside today so I am not sure.

Any ideas would be appreciated. WE BOTH THANK YOU!
