Hi,
This is my first year gardening in the NW, and my first time ever to grow tomatoes.
How long will they keep ripening? I still have lots and lots of green ones, and I am wondering if I will get to enjoy them still?
How long will tomatoes keep ripening
I bring my green ones in in the fall to hang from the celing of my basement in a sunny window. this lets a few of them ripen to eat in a few weeks. Here in Seattle you may not have the benefits of such timing.
I wait until just before frost, if I still have green ones on the vine, I pull the vine, knock the dirt off, hang them in the garage, in light if you have it, or a protected place... basement would work, or a cool room of any kind, and let them get ripe. Only a couple weeks though, then I fry up the rest of em.
