Have Rooted tip cuttings of Red Shrimp Plant to Trade + more

Madison, MS

I'll have to go out and check how many I have that actually already taken root, but I know at least 3 are ready and the others are well on their way and could probably be shipped out if I wrapped the soil around them carefully - I haven't figured out yet how to ship the plant in the plastic pot and still keep the soil in the pot - any ideas would be great! - gone
I also have 2 pieces of a red hot poker left from when I divided and moved it.gone
And I have 2 Coral Bean Plants
I'm looking for perrenial plants for all areas Shade-Full Sun ... Dry Ground - Moist Ground
I really would love a banana, some vibernums, lily bulbs (not daylily though), really any bulbs would be great, maybe a canna, heucheras, make some suggestions if your interested. Thanks, Michelle

Cool, that is really neat. What does it need? What zone? How big?

Michelle,
I would love some! If there are enough things on my list that you want I would like to trade for several cuttings. If they are not hard to root I can root them myself. Here is my trade list:

Cuttings:

Bush Morning glory (purple)
Beauty Berry Bush
Passiflora Incense
Several Coleus (See thread I
posted on coleus forum)
Trumpet vine (Orange)
Pink Spirea
Skyflower / Golden dewberry
(Duranta)
Hydrangea (Endless summer)
Tropical Hib "snow queen"
(Var./coral-red)
Plumbago (Blue)
Mexican Petunia (purple)

Seeds:

Hardy Hibiscus (Red, White, Pink or Burgandy)
Moonflower Vine
Lantanna (Pink & Yellow on same
flower)
Trumpet Vine (orange)
Four O'Clocks (Yellow)
Gaillardia (Blanket Flower, Indian
Blanket)

Do you have seeds also?

KayKay - Here's the DG link with the info about the shrimp plant - http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/622/index.html

YardQueen - I'd love cuttings of Pink Spirea & Skyflower / Golden dewberry (Duranta) - do these root easy? I've not tried to root these before.
I'm not sure how easily the shrimp plant roots - I've always taken tip cuttings with rooting hormone and put in small pots w/potting soil, also I've not yet figured out what the seeds are on this plant. I've d-mailed someone about it and am still waiting on a response, hopefully they will have an answer for me.

I'd like to try a cutting of the shrimp plant. I have Canna Richard Wallace or when I get around to digging around the bananas, I will have a few Cavendish banana pups.

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

I am not sure about how easy the spirea or skyflower root either. But I have had another DG-er ask for them. Since you dont't know about the shrimp plant either it sounds like a fair trade LOL... I am new at trading and new at rooting...LOL (except coleus or something like that) but I would be willing to try if you are. If you don't a;ready have one I will stick in cuttings of the Bush Morning Glory. It does root easy so at least you will have that... If you find out about the seeds maybe we can do a seed trade too.

Michelle, Is your shrimp plant a true red color? I have a one that is more orange than red. I have others too. How easy was it to root them? Mine are getting leggy and need to be pruned. I too have wondered about the seeds. Please post any information that you find out. Any help would be appreciated...Kathy

michelle, i would like one of your shrimp plants. this is what i have..............dicliptera cutting that is rooted and for more than one i have what was traded to me as white lycoris but they are not lycoris. she told me they were giant spider lilies. and after i got them she still claimed they were lycoris. they may be crinum lilies. i just don't know. but i can send 3 of these bulbs if you are interested. and we will both have a surprise next year. thanks. barb

I have a BUNCH of tulip bulbs coming any day now, from a few coops that I did. Also, any muscari bulbs you may be interested in? Give me a name and I will see if they are coming to me.......I would love to try this as a houseplant. I would also like some of the red hot poker.

Madison, MS

jess - I would LOVE to wait on the banana - I've been wanting one of these for a while! I have a new bed that it will have a home waiting on it!
yardqueen - sound great, I'll try them out and I'd love to have a cutting of the morning glory bush I don't have one.
mamajack - I'll be happy to send more than one and I'd love the dicliptera and I'm all about surprises with the bulbs - sounds fun!
kaykay - I would love some tulips - they are my favorite flower and I've been saying I was going to try and grow the bulbs again (I've only tried once) and I like the bright blue & white muscari - I'm not sure of the exact names though. I'll be happy to send you red hot poker & the shrimp plant
kathy - mine is pretty red - it's a deep red though. As far as rooting goes I've not had a problem with rooting them, but the only way I've tried is how I noted above.
If everyone would send me a d-mail with your addy that would be great! Thanks, Michelle

xxxxx, Carrie

Madison, MS

Here's the DG link for the Coral Bean Plant http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2724/index.html

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks. I would like to try it, although it seems doubtful that it would survive a bad winter here. You and your fellow coral bean plant lovers are SO FAR SOUTH of me and my coral garden. Also, I have a lot to plant by frost, which could almost be any day now. Any chance we could do this in the spring? I have:
Columbines, both named and un,
Yarrow, NOID and ID
Coreopsis moonbeam
Blanket Flower ordinary
Coneflower - have to wait until Spring but I have a few of the newer colors and types
Balloonflowers - blue, mostly tall, a few dwarf
honey suckle mandarin
more but I can't remember

Thanks, Carrie
