Four O'Clock, Marvel of Peru
Mirabilis jalapa

Pretty pink Mirabilis Jalapa. Collecting the bounty of seeds each evening is quite a stress reliever. Seed harvest 09-20-2006 zone 7.

Too busy, splashes of crap everywhere. Thumbs down on photo, but at least you tried. Hard to see how you would submit this sophmoric effort.

As long as we're passing around criticism, allow
me to bring my red pencil into the picture while
correcting your rude post.

The proper spelling is S-O-P-H-O-M-O-R-I-C.
Rather ironic choice of words on your part considering
it was your post, not my photo, which fit the bill.

I must say, you make a nice addition to Dave's
Garden, an unpaid member and self-appointed photo expert
willing to offer cheap shots at random garden shots.

Wuvie, it has only been within the last few years that I've taken up gardening..so much to learn. The learning process has mainly been due to my membership here at DG...the photo's that you and other members post have given me much encouragement...know that the effort to do so is very much appreciated...thank you...

Only one time prior to this have I ever seen such rudeness and total disrespect for co-members and/or co-participants...as a fellow member I think it is in very poor taste...If one so desires to be an art 'critic' then perhaps other sites may be more to their liking!

These threads are meant to be in part a tool for learning, as a visual interest and bonding as friends who have similar interests...those who do not appreciate what Dave's Garden is all about should perhaps refrain from adding their comments...

I do hope Wuvie that you do not take this comment to heart..know we all enjoy viewing all photo's posted and the comment above in no way reflects the mass membership...

Look forward to many more photo's...

Indeed, Betty, and thank you for your kindness.

Looks like he broke the bank with that one.

maybe that guy was mad because he is too mean for flowers to want to grow for him.

Amen to that comment..

Oddly, he posted negativity on Monika's picture of Angel's Trumpet the same day at
six in the morning. The same hour, he posted on my picture.

I mean, what else is there to do at the six o'clock a.m. hour than to criticize others?
Pfft.

Apparently he moved on to harass others. Good riddance.

I'm so glad you're till around, WUVIE, because I wanted to comment on your original post -- I just now came in from harvesting seeds from my 4 o'clock *in the rain* because I needed the relaxation -- heck I didn't do my yoga today, I just had to get out there! So glad I'm not the only one!
