I fell in love with the look of ti plants (Cordyline terminalis or fruiticosa) early in the summer and started to collect them. I have 9 so far, some of them are not commonly seen in NJ, especially the miniature varieties. Here's what I have:
Red Sister (got it at K-Mart, I think this one is pretty easily found at WalMart, etc.)
Red Cameroon- rounded leaves and nice stripes
Cameroon- less red than Cameroon
Baby Spoon- a mini that looks sort of like Red Cameroon
Miss Hawaii- a mini
Baby Doll- my favorite so far and a mini
Pink Integrity- when the sun shines through this plant it looks fake, that's how pink it is
Sunset- green and apricot and pink stripes
King Kalakaua II- huge leaves, impressive colors
There are still a couple of varieties I covet. If there are any other ti fans out there interested in trades, PLMK. I can root logs or just send logs.
I think I'm ti-central in NJ
Good to see another Ti fan. I also love them, even though I mostly grow just the native Hawaii green variety. I've collected them on various trips to the islands.
If you ever make it to Maui, be sure to visit the Garden of Eden on the Hana Highway. They have the world's largest collection of Ti plants. Would be right up your alley.
Thanks, will add it to the itinerary. I've been to the Big Island and want to go back for a longer visit.

Next weekend i'm planning to trim back the largest of my Ti plants. I think its a Red Sister but i see you already have that one but i also have one that was supposed to be orange/peach something. and a plain green one. They may also need a trim. I'll try to get some pics during the week and see if any of them might be interested in.
Do you have any pictures of your favorites.
I think the orange/peach one is called Orange Sister. I'd love to see it, thanks!
Ill be back home on Monday, will get pics then
Hi Celt33040,
Thanks so much. Here's what I have left to trade for the orange ti:
Baby Spoon- rooted log
Pink Integrity-- rooting cutting and log to root
Sunset-- log or cutting to root
Sunset picture is attached, mine has more green because I grew it in more filtered light.

WOW...gorgeous Ti!!! Have you tried using them in indoor floral arrangements? Just the leaves?
Hi Carol,
Thank you. No to the arrangements. I'm working on making tasteful arrangements of the plants. I don't like the leggy look with a lot of trunk showing. I like the fuller look of a lot of leaves on the plants.
