Crazy Gator Pride

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

My Gator Pride has only been with me for about two months, and I've had such an intense color change during that period. I'm not a great photographer, so it probably doesn't show up as much in the pics as in real life, but is this to be expected? Besides a couple cool days, it's been pretty uniformly hot here (in the high 90's). So, does the color get more intense the longer the plant is in the ground? It's got another flush of buds, which will probably open in about a week ~ I can hardly wait to see what it does next! This plant is an absolute bloom machine! I'm really glad I saw all your pictures then coveted and purchased one for myself. Here's a few weeks ago:

And this is now. I know this pic was taken around dusk, but in the light the colors were this deep as well.

That's quite a difference! The colors are so much richer in the second photo. It sure is a beauty!

Perhaps (and this is just a guess) day length has something to do with it???? Although it is still plenty hot here, the colors on my hibiscus are getting much deeper.

Surely someone with a brain will chime in here and address the color changes.

Sorry, no brain here. :-)
My guess would be temp changes and/or mosture changes.

PlantFiles show a nice range too.
