Glycyrrhiza Yuannansis

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Is anyone growing Glycyrrhiza Yuannansis? I saw this in a border growing amongst tall grass several years ago and have been trying to find it ever since. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks, Laurie

Thanks, Sueone - I saw it at, I think, Wisley growing amongst some lovely golden grasses. It had gorgeous dark maroony brown seed heads. I think it is another of Piet Ouldorf intro.s, but have had no luck with his website (anyone going over and interested in bringing back one?) I have been working on a new hot bed this year, and would dearly love to get hold of it for the central area - but alas. It has been a few years of searching with no luck.

If it wasn't for coming up on the Google search I could almost convince myself I had imagined it up.

Hello Laurie1 and welcome to DG!

I'm sorry I don't know where to find them either, have you tried The Seed Search book by Karen Platt? You might be able to find a copy in the library.

Baa - what a good idea, I had completely forgotten about that book! I'll do that today. Hmmmm, I am feeling inspired.

And thanks for the welcome. I keep planning on putting an introductory photo and comment of the garden project we finished (finished? - does anything every get finished in the garden?) this summer as an intro to my gardening interests. Soon, soon, it is high up on my to do list. First, paid work must let up a bit then 'for fun' work can edge in for a minute.

Thanks for the idea - much appreciated.
