My Butterfly Presentation

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

was a roaring success. The 45 minute talk I was supposed to give lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes lol untill they ran us out of the library. It was very nice and I wasn't nervous at all like I thought I would be yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found this forum today. I've just taken an interest in butterflies. I've found some really pretty ones. Just by being observant.

I read about the presentation you were going to do today. What an honor!

I'm so glad that it went well for you.

Aha! I should've looked around at the other threads a bit more before bumping up your previous one to ask how things went... Fabulous! Congratulations!!!

Your enthusiasm is contagious even through your posts here... I can imagine hearing you talk in person, with your wonderful pictures, just inspired a whole roomful of soon-to-be butterfly gardeners!

So... where can we order the video? ;-)

Sioux City, IA(Zone 4b)

How awesome for you. I think when a person shares something they really enjoy it is contagious. Apparently that is the case here (1 hour 45 minutes, you go girl!). :)

That's fantastic!!! Just think how many others will learn from what you've talked to them about and pass the information along! The world needs lots of butterfly enthusiasts !!!

Thank you all. I make a hand out listing what was most common for our area, listed the host plants for them, and listed lots of good nectar plants, I netted a few moths last night and butterflies this afternoon to bring, I cut all I could of nectar plants to show. It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it.

Burleson, TX(Zone 8a)

You go girl! I know you were so relieved that people were actually interested! The great thing about gardening and butterflies etc. is that sharing what you've learned is fun and the people don't act like you are a "know it all" but are happy to learn. I'm sure there will be many more butterfly gardens created, thanks to you! :)

Exactly what I expected to hear from you Donna! Excellent job. I hope that you got to sit down a bit during that hour and 45 minutes. That is a looooooooong talk, but always very rewarding for both the speaker and attendees.

So...when is your next presentation scheduled? :-D
