Several DGers have asked me about my big pot planting.
The pot has,so to speak,a story, which might be of some interest
to DG container enthusiasts.
1)The pot actually has another pot inside.
The outer one is ceramic and measure 50cm across,58cm high.
The one inside is a bowl container and measures 36cm across.
Please note to keep the embedded pot well fixed by stuffing pieces
of Styrofoam ,extra. That means you mustn't put soil in the outer pot.
2)You might change the inside pot whenever you like. This way you could
display the flowers at their very best.
I use this double pot as the focal point in my yard since it makes itself
so conspicuous.
I'll show you the pics which might help you to get the idea.

The Secrets of Big Pots
ooooohh.... TomTom, the pic, please!!!!!
several folks having problems posting pics. I think its a DG problem
Great looking pots, TomTom.
There is a gardening show I enjoy watching here on the weekends. He also recommends for large pot, dumping packing peanuts to fill the bottom of the ceramic pot and either inserting a pot as you did or place a layer of that thick coconut liner on top of it then add the soil. Also, when planting in plastic pots that are exposed to the sun, line the pot first with bubble wrap to help insulate the soil and keep the pots cooler and moist longer.
