First feeder friend has a lady friend!!

Paris, TN(Zone 6b)

Well, since I know the 'guardian' doesn't let other hummers in the yard, when we got this shot tonight, I figure this is his lady friend! I'm so sappy, I told DH that they waited until we were both there so the couple could see the couple...LOL!

He has red spots on his neck, she doesn't. I guess I need to go find out what kind they are now.

Hope no one minds one more hummer shot :)

beautiful shot. I had 2 at one of the feeders today and a 3rd trying to chase them off. They ignored him lol. I never have more than one per feeder so was strange for me. I have 5 feeders out all over the yard

I remember help from pell about as it gets closer to migration they do share more. They are verrry territorial most of the time though, but I have seen then sneak by each other a lot.. They would come right up in my face, but another hummer comes along and they dart to chase them away... so funny, theres PLENTY of delicious nectar to go around. What would one little hummer do with a pint of nectar in his wee belly? hiccup..oOO
