Variegated p. lutea

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

Has anyone seen a variegated passiflora lutea before. I checked the PF and it doesn't make mention of one but I'm sure that's what this is. I have the normal green ones pop up all over but I found this coming up in my shade bed. I don't normally like p.lutea because it tends to be invasive and I usually pull them up but this is kind of pretty.

Jan-
It is so nicely variegated that it looks like a variegated hedera helix. If it is not hedera and is in fact, a variegated p. lutea, you are one lucky gal! Ü

I have lutea, but doesn't look anything like that.

Hi Taylor,
Definitely not english ivy. I have the common p. lutea all over and right near this one that came up. I broke it off pulling it up so I'm waiting to see if more come up off the roots still in the ground. I'll tell more when it grows out a bit.

I'll watch this thread to see your develpments on this.

I wonder if it will produce the little flowers and seedpods like regular lutea, or if it is a sterile mutation.

You must be excited!

I had a thunbergia coccinea show variagation on one particular stem, but could never get that section to propagate...

Your little guy looks like it is doing really well.

It will be interesting to see if it produces seeds and if they'll produce var or revert.
