CLOSED: pink pandorea vine- at Lowe's or I have some here

Hollywood, FL(Zone 10b)

Yesterday, I helped Lowe's by removing the brown unsightly pods on this vine... ;)
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/64857 The vine I saw seemed to be a brighter pink, but this was the closest variety listed.
So now I have alot of these seeds! Each pod seems to hold at least 50+ seeds! I can see how it would be invasive.
I have some for trade or SASE...
Of course I'd love tropicals, or any Salvias, Agastache, showy tropical vines, perennial Coreopsis- I'd throw in my soul if anyone happens to have 'Limerock Ruby' or 'Sweet Dreams', but I'd also love any pink/red or interesting Coreopsis.
I don't care if those Coreopsis aren't supposed to come true from seed, I'm willing to try rather than pay so much for them.

(I'm not particularly counting on anyone having any of the above, but it never hurts to ask!) ;)~
I'm happy to do SASEs. It's a really beautiful vine!

I'm just editing to say I'd also love some different Echinacea colors, too- I have the common purple already.

Well, I have some Agastache Apricot Sprite that I'd love to send for some of those unsightly brown pods Gina (how very, very kind of you to assist Lowes, I try to do so whenver I'm there, good and tidy you know!)

I always hate to be the first poster...LOL!

If you're in the exchange, I'll look ya up :)

Thanks,
~Sunny

Hey Sunny,
I'd love some Apricot Sprite! I had store-bought seeds that I used all in one area, and learned my lesson about using all my seeds at once when I didn't know the plants' needs. Needless to say, the plant was not happy, but now I know, and this would be a great opportunity to try again!

I am in the exchange, I'll go ahead and send a bunch of the pandorea vine to you tomorrow or Saturday (unless you're not in the exchange, in which case you can d-mail your address first ;) )

"Doing my best to serve my local Lowe's"

ps. The seeds are out of the pods already, but I'm sending about 2-3 pods worth of seeds since I have so many!

Thanks Gina,

I'll get these out to you today!

I would like some, but only have Moonbeam coreopsis. I am not even sure about getting seed from them. I can send some of the sent flower heads, I think that is where the seeds are.

Hey KayKay, since I'm still waiting on your SASBE for other seeds, I'll share some of what Gina sends and save you some postage, how's that?

KayKay,
I'm going to be receiving some 'Sweet Dreams' Coreopsis, and if they turn out true to parental colors, I'll let you know for future's sake.

Sunny's offer sounds like a good deal, and I'm sending her a bunch of Pandorea seeds, so it's fine by me if you take her up on it... thanks for the offer! :)

Gina, great find--I am another conscientous "cleaner" for the local Lowes, but unfortunately by the time I get home I've forgotten what was what so I have many mystery seeds on my hands. If you have any of those brown pods left I'd like to have a few. I have had no luck trying to extract seed from any threadleaf coreopsis like those mentioned above and I have taken apart many of the little flowers at various stages of growth. I may just take several brown ones, crush them up and plant and see if anything comes up. I thought I read somewhere that they might not produce seed-but of course perhaps I dreamed that due to my failure to harvest seed LoL I do have lots of other seed for trade if you want some.

Hey ddens - depending on the type of coreopsis, I know of two different types of seed: small half-kernel looking things (lanceleaf for one example), and then others have little tiny stick looking things instead of the kernels. Hope that helps in your search :)

Anyone know what the real name of Europops is?

Europops a flower or British programming? ;) No idea on that!

Deb,
You can just send an SASE for seeds- I have so many seeds left, it seems they multiply when I'm not watching!
I'm in the address exchange, or you can d-mail me.

Hello Gina,

How nice of you to help Lowe's out like that :)
Sometimes I pick up their "trash on the floor" and see if I can root them but they usually die :(
I don't have anything that I could fulfill on your wishlist :(
However, should you have any extra of these seeds for SASBE, I'd like to try to grow this as a houseplant until summer and see if I can over winter it next fall in Maine. An experiment to help with winter blues.

Thank you so much,
Kim

Oh reminds me I got to go to Lowe's
I want to be a good helper..... Boy...do I want to be good!! LOL
I would love to send you a sase plus some extra stamps for you!
I will d-mail you! Tricia

Ok, sent/replied to d-mails.
That's it for these seeds until Lowe's gets some more of the vines, lol :)
