Dave,
I started the Strawbale Thread that has been very popular and we've discussed from time to time about getting up some sort of logo, cap, etc.
Well, I'll soon have a cap I've had designed with a simple "straw bale" embroidered on the front along with "Straw Bale Gardener" above it.
I want to make these available AT COST to those interested.
Is the CLASSIFIED AD section the only place I can do this?
If so, how do you suggest I get the word out, so to speak?
Can I post a comment in the Strawbale Thread?
Thanks,
Kent
CLOSED: Caps I'm getting made for Strawbale Gardeners
Hi Strawbaleman,
The Classified Ads are an obvious choice and would probably work well. You can link to them on your member page, if you'd like to. Unfortunately, we don't allow anyone to mention their Classified Ads or businesses in any other forum.
You can try Google's AdSense to help place the ad to appear in the most suitable forums, but only non-subscribers (and subscribers who want to see ads) will see a Google Ad.
Happy Gardening
Terry
Terry,
Thanks for the quick response.
Follow up question: Can I post a comment in the thread to "encourage" readers to take a look at my Member Page?
Example:
"Awhile back we discussed possible logos, caps, etc. for bale gardeners. Take a look at my Member Page."

Hi Strawbaleman,
Mmmmm, thank you for asking first (that's VERY much appreciated), but really - we'd rather you didn't. I know what you're trying to do, and I know it's for a worthy cause. But we have others who would dearly love to promote themselves for less-honourable reasons, and if we appear arbitrary in who we allow to "tout" certain things, and those who aren't permitted, then we have to deal with indignant members and accusations of favoritism.

Terry,
10-4, I understand ya'lls position. I definitely want to play this straight.
Now just 1 more question...
I can visualize a photo of me in my garden, and I just happen to have on THE cap.
Folks are bound to be curious and ask questions.
Can I then respond to them via Dmail?
