Favorite Pink??

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Hi, I was wondering if you Brug experts will let me know what your favorite "pinks" are. I really want to purchase a pink one, but in small pics, they all look similar and beautiful. I live in San Bernardino, CA (Inland Southern California). Thanks for your help :-)

Painted lady did well for me, even in the heat this summer. I'll try to find a picture later.

I have to say hands down my favorite single pink this year is 'Miss Emily Mackenzie' she looks pretty in the posted photos, but to see her is person is to see why she is so great. She is beautiful, long tendrils, and just huge blooms.

Here is her bloom compared to the size of my hand and arm.

My "unknown" pink. But, then again, I don't have any other pink. Something wrong with that picture!!

Wow, Delisa, that is an amazing pink. Thank you for sharing it. Do you happen to know if it is widely available, or would it be difficult for me to find?

Wow, I love those tendrils, and I think Ms. Emily was on the list that I was looking at. Lily, your plant is just gorgeous whatever pink it is!!

I do not have a favorite PINK yet. I am waiting for the perfect one to exist. LOL. Though there are tons of great ones out there though.

Hey Delisa, I sure want to be your best friend. Are you looking for one? LOL!

This may be a stupid question from someone who only has one yellow "don't know the name" but quite lovely brug, but if I buy one in a four inch pot that is about 8" tall, how quckly can I expect it to grow? My yellow was planted last October and took a huge beating immediately from horrible winds. We thought for sure she'd die and I was totally upset since I picked it out special at the nursery, but turned out to be the little brug that could! I babied and babied and refused to give up.

It will have to be in a pot, because my yard is not huge and my husband already thinks I'm "plants berserk", so I'm kinda hoping that I could plant it small and have it take a couple years or more to grow big ~ you know, kind of sneak it in through the backdoor. I just think the pinks are so beautiful, I've GOT to have one.

This picture is from mid-March when she finally prove she'd survive - her first bloom:

Grrr, uploading pictures is still not working, I see. I'll try tomorrow, I think you might be amazed at the progress! I'll be slinking back to the Hibiscus forum now, where I began my "just sneak 'em in as babies" technique ;-)

So the pictures are supposed to work now. Here's my first brug picture.

They are all beauties to me. I like L'Amour for shape, color and smell, but love those double pinks.
