I have put in an order for a large front bay window and small kitchen garden window. Yippie!!!!! The contractor ordered them last week and I am hoping that they will come this week and that contractor will begin work soon thereafter. Last winter I had problems finding space for all of my indoor plants. This year I have definitely added to the number that will need to come inside soon.
I live in a small house and space is precious. The 1,100 sq. ft. seemed to be a good idea when I bought this house and it was just my hubby, self and three dogs. Little did I know that upon my move, both of my sons who had been living elsewhere would move back in. The older one was here temporarily until he got himself back on his feet. My 16 year old had been living with my ex for about 7 or 8 years and became tired of dealing with "the wicked step-mother." He has been back with me for about a year now.
My husband calls where I have plants, a jungle. I have always loved hanging vine types of plants and have some at each front window. I did notice that one of my spider plants that I left inside all summer is looking pretty ragged. It might be on its last leg and ready to go to plant heaven. (Or the compost bin.)
Anyways, I just wanted to share my happy news. I can't wait!!!
I hope that everyone reading this will have a great week coming up. This pic is of some of the houseplants that lived on screened porch this summer. They have done really well.

I am really excited.......
I feel your pain, I too have the jungle in the winter. Mine is a kind of tropical jungle with palms, musa, pineapple, plumeria, jasmine. They all fit at one end of our bedroom and generally thrive quite well, but be careful of the pineapples they will poke your eye out!!
