Their Very First Blooms, trying again!

San Bernardino, CA(Zone 8b)

Okay, cable internet went out during my post, grrr. So, trying again. Last week I was like a kid at Christmas with all my hibiscus' blooming. Two of my plants had their very first blooms, and I wanted to share them. Here's Renaissance Blue.

And here's Molten Lava. This one had broken roots and didn't look too good for a while, but it's taking off now. I really love the colors on this one.

Grrrr this is my last try. Obviously, I'm not meant to post pics of these.

It wasn't you. I believe there was a problem with the server here at Dave's yesterday and last evening. Sometimes when equipment is upgraded things get mixed up for a little bit. Everything seems fine now.

I'd love it if you'd try again, I'd really like to see what the Molten Lava looks like! I got a liner (or was it 2) early in the season, but they died quickly. I'd like to know if I should give 'em another go. :)

Tess, you can find some pics in DGs forums. Here you have one link

Okay, since Ardesia said it might have been on Dave's server, I'll try one more time. Tess, if I don't succeed, the bloom is absolutely beautiful! In my morning hibiscus check, I see it has 6 more buds on the little plant. Definitely, try again!

Hmmmm, I am going to try now and see what happens. This is Golden Dust which is a lot like the picture Carlos referred to but GD has a bright yellow throat. This picture shows it just opening and the orange is so bright it looks like real molten lava to me. :-)

OK, Dave's is working.

Don't know if I am doing this the most expedient way but after typing in my message I click on "browse" and my picture files open up. I locate the one I want to post and click on it and click open which seems to put it in the right place on the DG page. Then I click on "preview" and can see right away if things are working.

Good luck I would love to see your Molten Lava also.

You know, I downloaded Picassa this weekend after taking the pic of Renaisssance Blue, but before Molten Lava. I saved the pics off my camera into Picassa, but also saved a copy into my regular folder. I've always posted, with good results, the same way (typing the message, then using the browse) but without Picassa. Do you think that has something to do with it??

Nope, problems with the servers with all forums uploading images, it's a fluke ardesia even got hers on! Whenever there is a site problem, you can always check Dave's Forum for any updates, I save that forum in my watch list so I can check it often.

Cool, thanks so much ~ glad to know it isn't me or my computer. Probably a fluke that I posted the pic of Renaissance Blue too. Definitely adding that link now. I'll watch the link and try back tonight.

The Molten Lava reminds me of Sun Showers...

Yes, it does look similar to Sun Showers. I've got one bloom just about open, and this time it looks really red, I can hardly wait to see the whole thing.
