This was on sale at Lowe's

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I finally got a fancy hibiscus. Lowe's had some sitting in the clearance rack for only $3.95 regularly 12.95 I couldn't pass it up. It is a large woody plant already.
I wasn't sure what type of flower it would have as it only had spent shrivelled blooms on it.
I got a real pretty one! It reminds me of orange sherbet, but it didn't have a real name on it.

Pretty double orange...... :-)

Windy,
That is not a daylily. What you have is a double Hibiscus. Daylilies dont have foilage like that. I reconize it from the leaves. It is pretty tho. Fran

I don't think this is the daylily forum. LOL
What made you think I thought it was a daylily?

Maybe there is a daylily-Orange sherbet... anyway, Windy I got this one at Lowe's last year, but it didn't survive the winter in my basement.... Maybe this one, Crown of Castille? Says it's a semi double. I also found one called Crown of Bohemia, but it seemed to have yellow in it. See what you think...

Maybe a 'sensation'?

I bought this 1 in a coop a couple years ago and I forget the name. Hopefully I have a legible name tag out there, I'll look for a name for you in the AM. Nice buy btw;)

Well I found 2 of the same flowers in my collection, both are tagged "In Paradise". Pretty technical and informative name huh? LOL All of the 15+ tropical hibiscus I bought in the coop had no latin names, just the common(well not that common) name the seller must of given them.
I wished I knew a better name so I could do searches for them and the like. Oh well.

Hi,
I purchased the same Hibiscus from Lowes and it was labled "Apricot Brandy" Hope this helps.
