Good question, tho according to the pic, I was assuming it was the purple one.
Yes, It's a birght purple...the same color as Anemone Robitussima and a mildew resistant phlox I grow.

I would love one of these! IHave some corn flower centaurea montana, or black and blue salvia. I have tons of seeds, jacob's ladder, teddy bear sunflowers, baby's breath, alyssum, dwarf strawflowers, hyacinth beans, big sky sunset & harvest moon echinacea. And lots more!

Does it grow fast?
I bought it from a nursery, so I had a really big one to start with, but yes, it grew fast. I was told to treat it like Butterfly Bush -- that it would die back and restart over the next year even bigger. Youre inthe Ohio Valley, too, so you know the last 3 winters have been mild. It hasn't died back.
I don't think it's worth a "nice clump", though -- maybe a small piece of B&B. LOL! Just slip it in a padded envie. I am only sending a little 6-inch rooted piece of it.
