Sandy Aschenbrenner, better known as ilovejesus99 just called to inform me her DH Dennis passed at around 9 pm. As you can expect, she can barely talk amid the tears, so I have very sketchy details. It happened at home, he was rushed to the Baytown Hospital and staff tried for over 1 hr to revive him.
Dennis had been suffering for several months from a serious infection, doctors were at a loss as to what it was and how to fight it. Last week he had a near fatal episode with his pickline (a tube feeding him antibiotics). It appears he had a second episode, this time fatal.
Sandy is with her son, DIL and GDDs. I don't have any more details. Her address is in the exchange. I don't know that she will be doing much talking on the phone for a while.
I have the saddest of news
I am very sorry to hear that. I wish her the best.
Voss sorry to hear that. The circumstances involved just seem awful for all concerned.
Neri, I am so sorry, She seems to be such a sweet person.
I only met him once at the College Station r.u. and he seemed very nice also, such a young man too.
May her faith bring her hope consolation at this time of sadness.
Josephine.
Thank you for keeping us informed.
We too, met him at the spring RU. Sorry to lose anyone in our extended "family".
Our prayers are with Sandy.
I'm with you Bubba--a very nice man at the Spring RU.

Aww...so sorry to hear such sad news.... I hope she finds some peace with her family...and within her heart thru the serenity that our beloved gardens can bring to us in times of pain..... our condolences....
Melanie
Thanks for passing on the sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with her and the family. I am sure it is a terrible loss for the family when someone so young is taken. We had met at the CS RU in April, and he was a very nice guy to be around. Indeed her faith will be her support and help her through this.
BTW she is in the address section if anyone wants to send a card.
Sheila
Such horribly sad news...I met them too at the roundup....they were both such nice people. I feel just awful for her and her family.

How very, very sad. We had dinner with Dennis and Sandy at College Station Texas Round Up; they were lots of fun and full of enthusiasm.
OMG ...Poor Sandy... and she was just telling us how Dennis was looking foreward to next RU... this saddens me so much, they were such a sweet couple and he was definitely Sandy's soulmate. Oh my Lord I wish I lived closer to her ... I know she is devistated. I pray she gets thru this.
We need to do something special for Sandy at the next CSRU
Sylvia
